NEW ASSEMBLY HALL AT PGF SCOTLAND
The Scottish company proved both its adaptability and breadth of skills when it began assembling ambulance bodies in a new unit beside the kirkcaldy factory. So as well as moulding the 40 or so glassfibre mouldings ranging from complete outer bodies to simple door hinge covers, the parts are now assembled and installed to provide a complete ambulance box ready to be its final fit out and chassis mating.  Under the guidance of technical manager Dougie Crawford, the team are completing 3 boxes every two weeks including flooring, wiring, lighting, sealing, glazing, door hanging and much more.  The box is then transported to Cambridgeshire where lifts, stretchers, oxygen, seats, cabinets and a thousand other detail items are added to make a fully functioning state-of-the-art ambulance.
