The multi-million pound rebuild of Lansdowne road rugby stadium in Dublin has been assisted by PGF. The project called for the construction of structural concrete column work, which was formed using a series of fibreglass moulds. These moulds were designed and constructed by PGF to allow concrete to be poured and cured on site, and then released quickly and easily from the moulds to leave a perfectly formed column, with a high quality surface finish. The GRP moulds are able to be re-used for a number of lifts, which meant that repeatability was easy to achieve for the contractors. The stadium is due to be completed by 2010.
